On Saturday's New Year's Eve matchup between the Nashville Predators and the Vegas Golden Knights, fans were treated to a big-time tilt. Midway through the middle frame, a fight broke out between Predators forward Yakov Trenin and Golden Knights defenseman Brayden McNabb.
McNabb laid a high hit on Nashville's Mark Jankowski - for which he was ejected - and was forced to answer the bell when Trenin came knocking:
All told, McNabb netted 20 minutes in PIMs and a match penalty, and Trenin earned an instigator penalty as well as the 5-for-fighting.
Vegas would take the two points, despite being without a defenseman for half the game; Nashville would earn a point, losing in overtime 5-4.
Should McNabb have been ejected for his hit on Jankowski?
