Swiss club showing interest in veteran Senators forward

An Italian-language Swiss new outlet is reporting that HC Lugano, one of the most storied clubs of the Swiss National League is considering pursuing pending UFA Mikkel Boedker as soon as the NHL season comes to a close.

The 30-year-old left-wing, a former first round pick of the Phoenix Coyotes in 2008, played just 20 games for the Ottawa Senators this season, scoring two goals and adding two assists. For his career, In his career, split between the 'Yotes, Avs, Sharks, and Sens, the Boedker is second in all-time points among Danish players in the NHL, behind only Frans Nielsen. He has 327 points in 709 games, but his current production is a long way from the 51 career high point he put up in Phoenix in the 2013-14 season.
