The Calgary Flames announced Friday afternoon that they have signed goaltending prospect Dustin Wolf to a three-year, entry-level deal.

Wolf, 19, has spent the last three seasons with the Everett Silvertips of the WHL. Since joining Everett, his numbers have been absolutely incredible. This season saw him post a 1.88 goals against average (GAA) and a .935 save percentage (SV%). Somehow, these numbers were actually a decline compared to the season prior where he put up a jaw dropping 1.69 GAA and a .936 SV%.

The California native also represented Team USA at the IIHF World Junior Championships this year. At the time of being drafted, many scouts were worried about the goaltender's size, which allowed the Flames to draft him in the seventh round (214th) of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Although it is still very early, it appears the Flames may have a stud goaltender in the making.
