According to TSN's Darren Dreger, many North American NHLers are not happy that players in Sweden have been granted permission by local authorities to return to the ice.

The upset players feel that this is giving the Swedes a competitive edge over them, especially if the 2019-20 season is to return. The NHL has been suspended since March 12th due to COVID-19, and players in North America are unable to skate as all arenas are closed as a result of the virus. All training facilities in North America are also shut down for the time being, making it hard for players to stay in top shape.

League commissioner Gary Bettman is trying to help solve any issues with this possible competitive edge, stating that if the NHL is to return this season, teams will have a two-to-three week training camp. However, that also means games being pushed even further into the summer and possibly even fall, depending on how long the quarantine lasts.
