Los Angeles Angels manager Joe Maddon gave baseball fans hope Wednesday when he said that the "best case scenario" for the MLB's return could be in four-to-six weeks according to the Tampa Bay Times, Marc Topkin.

The MLB is exploring the idea of playing games in Arizona without fans to try and start the 2020 season, but Maddon said that he told MLB officials he would also prefer using the domed stadiums in Florida and Texas, as well as ballparks in Southern California.

The 66-year-old manager also added that multiple sites would be better for resembling a season, would provide variety, and allow for games to happen in different time zones.

He also shared his belief that players and staff should be allowed to be with their families if they were to play baseball in isolation. Mike Trout, Clayton Kershaw, Zack Wheeler and many other players, have all expressed their concerns with potentially being separated from their loved ones for a period of months.

"A lot of things from the human side I think would be important,'' Maddon said. "The big part of that is you have to include families, I think, to really make this amenable to the group.''

Arizona Governor Doug Ducey said Tuesday that all MLB teams could play in the state when it is the "right time." Dr. Anthony Fauci added Wednesday that he believes sports could return in 2020 but would have to be played in empty stadiums.
