San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane is in jeopardy of being suspended once again this season following a violent elbow to Winnipeg Jets defenseman Neal Pionk.

Kane will have a hearing on Saturday with the NHL's Department of Player Safety for the head shot that can be seen below:

Due to Kane's status as a repeat offender, this suspension could wind up being lengthier than past offenses.
Kane and the Sharks are in the midst of a very underwhelming season, posting a record of 25-28-4, good for 3rd-last in the Western Conference. A far cry from where the team hoped to be at this point from the onset of the season.
Kane has 37 points through 51 games this season, adding 110 PIMs. An update will be provided following his hearing, once Player Safety gives its ruling on the incident.
