Of all the series in the opening round of this year's Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Boston/Carolina series was arguably the bloodiest & most physical. Especially after
Andrei Svechnikov's monster hit on Boston's
Hampus Lindholm.
Both teams upped the ante time & time again, but only one prevailed. The Hurricanes took Game 7 on home ice, which proved to be the difference maker in this series as each game was decided by the home team.

Neither event required suspension, but it's worth considering that a slewfoot earned a heavier fine than a direct shot to a player's head. But that's what the CBA allows for, so it is what it is.
