NHL announces Norris Trophy finalists

The NHL announced their three nominees for the Norris Trophy on Monday, which is awarded to the top defenseman in the league each year.

According to Elliotte Friedman, the nominees are Victor Hedman (TBL), Roman Josi (NSH), and Cale Makar (COL).

All three had great seasons, with each one being over a point per game player. Hedman had 85 points (20 goals, 65 assists), Josi had 96 points (23 goals, 73 assists), and Makar had 86 points (28 goals, 58 assists).

The winner will be announced during either the Conference Finals or Stanley Cup as part of the 2022 NHL Awards.
