San Jose Devastates Vegas' Playoff Hopes In Dramatic Fashion

This match was hyped up big around the NHL; Sharks & Vegas players alike understood what was on the line -- furthering their hopes at a playoff berth at the behest of their hated rivals.

Timo Meier was outspoken before this game, all but declaring war on the Golden Knights. It seemed the Sharks weren't the only team in the NHL rooting against Vegas...

Vegas has developed a pretty negative reputation around the NHL lately due to a range of reasons, leading large numbers of fans & players alike to an adversarial position against the team.

In this titanic grudge match, we got an absolute treat. Vegas came out rolling and appeared to have the win in their grasp. After Vegas controlled play for the first 58-or-so minutes, however, San Jose rallied quickly in the closing minutes of the third, including this buzzer beater from Timo Meier...

...the absolute LAST guy on San Jose you want to cough the puck over to with 0.9 seconds on the clock...

And wouldn't you know it, (my personal 2022-23 Rookie of the Year pick, notta big deal) Thomas Bordeleau, puts the icing on the cake with a gorgeous shootout move...

**I'm saying it now...buy stock in Bordeleau**

Even though shootouts are lame, this one was arguably the perfect send off for the Vegas Golden Knights; the most hated club in all of hockey at the moment.

Although Vegas' playoffs hopes aren't quite zero yet, they're close...
