Anaheim Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf is skating in his 1,157th and final game in the National Hockey League on Sunday night and before the game, the team decided to honour him with a tribute video.

Getzlaf was drafted all the way back in 2003 with the nineteenth overall pick and he spent his entire seventeen-year career with the Anaheim Ducks, tallying 1,018 points and a Stanley Cup along the way.

During the pre-game ceremony, Getzlaf's former teammate Teemu Selanne made an appearance with a surprise gift for the 36-year-old. Selanne gave Getzlaf an off-road 4x4 dune buggy, in Anaheim colours and the Ducks logo on the side.

Congratulations to Ryan Getzlaf on a long and successful career in the National Hockey League and we'd like to wish him all the best in retirement.
