Blue Jackets forward Alexandre Texier granted leave of absence
The Columbus Blue Jackets announced on Thursday that forward Alexandre Texier has been granted an indefinite leave of absence for personal reasons.
In a statement, General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen said, "Recently, Tex has experienced personal losses of people very close to him and our priority right now is to support him in every way possible. We are going to give him the time he needs and look forward to welcoming him back to the Blue Jackets family when he is ready."
Texier, 22, has appeared in 36 games for Columbus this season, tallying 20 points (11 G, 9 A), 12 penalty minutes, and is a +/-0.
