The Toronto Maple Leafs announced on Wednesday that they've agreed to terms on a two-year contract extension worth $1.525 million ($762,500 AAV) with forward Kyle Clifford.

Clifford, 31, started the 2021-22 season with the St. Louis Blues, appearing in two games, before they dealt him to Toronto in November for future considerations.

The Ayr (Ontario) native is currently in his second stint with the Toronto Maple Leafs. They first acquired him on February 5th 2020 along with Jack Campbell from the Los Angeles Kings. Clifford became a free agent after the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs and signed with St. Louis.

In ten games this season with the Maple Leafs, Clifford has two assists, seven penalty minutes and is a minus-four.
