According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Anaheim Ducks have claimed defenceman Andrej Sustr off waivers from the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Sustr, 31, was signed by the Lightning back in 2013 out of college and spent the first six seasons of his NHL career with them. Following the 2017-18 season, Sustr became a free agent and signed with the Anaheim Ducks, where he only made five appearances.

After playing most of the 2018-19 season in the AHL, Sustr decided to sign in the KHL with Kunlun Red Star, playing two years there, before returning to the NHL and signing with the Lightning last summer.

In fifteen games this season, the Plzen (Czech Republic) native has one goal, six penalty minutes and is a minus-one.

In other waiver related news, defenceman Danny DeKeyser has cleared and has been assigned to the Grand Rapids Griffins in the AHL by the Detroit Red Wings. This will mark DeKeyer's first time playing in the AHL since the 2013 playoffs as he joined Grand Rapids out of college.
