It's been less than five months since Bob Murray resigned as the general manager of the Anaheim Ducks amid allegations of improper professional conduct. However, Murray is reportedly already back to working in the NHL.

According to Eric Stephens of The Athletic, Murray is working as a scout with the Calgary Flames. He attended Wednesday night's game between the Ducks and San Jose Sharks on the Flames' behalf.

There is a connection to the Flames as Murray and current head coach Darryl Sutter have had an association dating back to when the two were teammates on the Chicago Blackhawks in the early 1980s. Despite being Stanley Cup-contending rivals during a time when Murray presided over the Ducks and Sutter coached the Los Angeles Kings, the two have formed a tight relationship over the decades. - Eric Stephens, The Athletic

Murray, 67, had served as the GM of the Ducks since 2008. When he resigned last year, Murray said he was entering a treatment facility for alcohol abuse.

"I want to apologize to anyone adversely affected by my behavior," Murray said in November. "As I step away from the Ducks, I will focus my attention on where it should be: improving my life for the betterment of my family and friends."
