Update: Sean Avery officially signs ECHL contract
Despite not even skating for 10 years, Avery, 41, recently stated he wanted to make a comeback and was hoping to sign a deal with an NHL team for the 2022-23 season. Avery last played pro hockey in 2011-12 when he suited up for the NHL's New York Rangers, and Connecticut Whale of the AHL.
Avery is a very controversial figure in the world of hockey. He is known for saying and doing whatever he wants, whenever he wants, regardless of what others may think. He also displayed that attitude on the ice in several incidents.
