Top Junior Player Suspended Indefinitely for Disgusting Threat
The Niagara IceDogs went down by a score of 10-0 lately, but it wasn't that act that caught the attention of many in the hockey world.
Young player suspended for disgusting act
During the game, young Alex Assadourian was given a two-minute minor penalty, but when he got into the box, he did something that he will no doubt regret.
"The only penalty he got was a 2 minute minor for cross checking in the 3rd. But then in the box he says "you're f***ing dead" with a throat slash to McNamara. So I guess that's what the indefinite suspension is for #OHL" @GeneralsUpdates said in a post on X.
It's unclear exactly what sparked this reaction, but regardless of what happened, this was an incredibly unnecessary act, and he has now been hit with an indefinite suspension.
The IceDogs are one of the worst teams in the league, and it's clearly got to their players, but if he had any hopes of playing at the next level, this is certainly something that he will need to improve upon.
