The Arizona Coyotes announced on Friday that veteran forward Jay Beagle will be out indefinitely following successful core muscle surgery.
In a radio appearance yesterday, Coyotes general manager Bill Armstrong said that the 36-year-old will be out long-team. "We've lost [Beagle] now who just had surgery today," he said. "Had a lower-body injury. [He's] out long-term, so we've been banged up that way."
Coyotes beat reporter Craig Morgan added that Armstrong thinks Beagle will be out anywhere from eight weeks to the remainder of the 2021-22 season.

Beagle having surgery and being out long-term explains why the Coyotes went out on Thursday afternoon and claimed Riley Nash off waivers from the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Calgary, Alberta native has had quite a poor first season with the Yotes. In twenty-one games, Beagle has one goal, ten penalty minutes and is a minus-eleven.
Wishing Jay a speedy recovery and hopefully we see him back on the ice as soon as physically possible.
