We're just over two months into the 2021-22 season and several free agents that signed this summer are making impacts with their new team, while others aren't preforming very well. Let's take a look at the five best and five worst free agent signings from this summer.

These signings are either good or bad for various reasons, whether that be their statistical output given their salary, how they play defensively, etc.

Five best
- Zach Hyman (Edmonton). 19 points (11 G, 8 A) in 26 games. Signed a seven-year contract worth $38.5 million.

- Frederik Andersen (Carolina). 21 games played, 16-5-0 record with a 1.93 G.A.A., a .930 save percentage and one shutout. Signed a two-year contract worth $9 million.

- Mikael Granlund (Nashville). 27 points (5 G, 22 A) in 28 games. Signed a four-year contract worth $20 million.

- Ryan Getzlaf (Anaheim). 21 points (1 G, 20 A) in 27 games. Signed a one-year contract worth $4.5 million.

- Brock McGinn (Pittsburgh). 12 points (8 G, 4 A) in 30 games. Signed a four-year contract worth $11 million.

Five worst
- Philipp Grubauer (Seattle). 23 games played, 7-12-3 record with a 3.29 G.A.A., and an .882 save percentage. Signed a six-year contract worth $35.4 million.

- Blake Coleman (Calgary). 7 points (4 G, 3 A) in 27 games. Signed a six-year contract worth $29.4 million.

- Erik Haula (Boston). 5 points (1 G, 4 A) in 25 games. Signed a two-year contract worth $4.75 million.

- David Savard (Montreal). 7 points (7 A) in 31 games. Signed a four-year contract worth $14 million.

- Adam Larsson (Seattle). 8 points (2 G, 6 A) in 30 games. Signed a four-year contract worth $16 million.
