The Minnesota Wild lost their game to the Dallas Stars Monday night 7-4, but the team is likely more worried about losing one of their best players. Around midway through the second period, Joel Eriksson Ek went into the boards awkwardly after battling Jani Hakanpaa for the puck. He was very slow to get up and left the game immediately. Here's the video:

According to Michael Russo of The Athletic, Eriksson Ek was spotted after the game wearing a sling.

"Doesn't look good," said Wild coach Dean Evason after the game.

"There's no way Ek's going to get into that position to get hurt if he does not get held up," Evason continued.

Eriksson Ek is having a great season, with 11 goals and 20 points in 30 games. He's also been a force defensively for the Wild.
