One day after being placed on unconditional waivers by the Dallas Stars, defenceman Andreas Borgman has cleared waivers and had his contract terminated according to Chris Johnston of TSN.
According to Hans Abrahamsson and Tomas Ros of SportBladet, Borgman will be signing with Frolunda HC of the Swedish Hockey League. His contract will be for four-years and will expire after the 2025-26 SHL season.
"Sportbladet can reveal that it has agreed with former Toronto back Andreas Borgman on a long-term contract, which according to information extends over the 2025/26 season," Abrahamsson and Ros said.
In 55 career NHL games for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Tampa Bay Lightning, Borgman had 13 points (3 G, 10 A), 32 penalty minutes, and was a +2.
