With multiple teams across the NHL dealing with COVID-19 cases and even outbreaks causing games to be postponed, Nashville Predators forward Nick Cousins has called on the league to pause the season.
NHL insider Nick Kypreos tweeted on Thursday afternoon that the Florida Panthers are dealing with their own COVID issues and that tonight's game against Los Angeles has yet to be postponed. The entire Kings team has been tested and are awaiting results.
In a retweet of that post, Cousins said, "Pause the season until after Christmas ? This is ridiculous"
Cousins' team, the Nashville Predators, are dealing with their own COVID-19 outbreak at the moment. As of yesterday, at least twelve members of the organization are in COVID-19 protocol, and this past hour, Cousins was the latest player added.
As of now, Nashville's game against the Colorado Avalanche tonight is still scheduled to go ahead as planned.
