The NHL's Department of Player Safety announced on Monday that Montreal Canadiens forward Cedric Paquette will have a hearing for boarding Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras.

The incident occurred just over halfway through the first period of Sunday afternoon's game between the Canadiens and Ducks. Anaheim forward Trevor Zegras was along the boards in the corner of his own zone when Paquette comes from behind and hits him. Paquette received a five-minute major and a game misconduct for boarding. Zegras would leave the game for the remainder of the first period, but returned to start the second.

Paquette, 28, was signed by the Canadiens on the opening day of free agency in late-July. In eight games with Montreal this season, the Gaspe, Quebec has no points, 21 penalty minutes, and is a minus-one.
