Just over twelve hours after the loss, the team hit the ice in Brossard for practice, and it appears that there will be a change on defence for Saturday's game against the Detroit Red Wings.
Sami Niku was paired up with Brett Kulak on Friday morning, and it looks like he'll make his Montreal Canadiens debut at the Bell Centre tomorrow night. The odd man out is Chris Wideman, who hasn't looked great in his first five games with the Habs, despite being only one of three players on the team to put the puck in the back of the net.
For the most part, the lines at practice on Friday didn't change much from Thursday's game against the Hurricanes, other than on defence. For some fans, this could be frustrating, especially since the team is having a hard time scoring as the Canadiens have only managed four goals in their five games, while allowing nineteen.
Today's lines:
Hoffman-Suzuki-Gallagher
Drouin-Dvorak/Brooks-Anderson
Toffoli-Perreault-Caufield
Lehkonen-Evans/Paquette-Armia
Chiarot-Petry
Niku-Kulak
Romanov-Savard
Montembeault
Jake Allen didn't participate in practice, but instead he worked with goaltending coach Eric Raymond.
The Canadiens will look to snap their losing streak on Saturday night against the Red Wings. Puck drop is set for 7pm on CityTV and TVA Sports.
