Connor McDavid’s Game 5 status gets important new update
Connor McDavid will dress tonight for the Edmonton Oilers, even if the ankle that's been bothering him all series doesn't quite say yes.
The captain is officially a game-time decision. Everything points to McDavid being in the lineup tonight when the puck drops on an elimination Game 5 against Anaheim. The Ducks lead this series 3-1.
Nobody in that locker room thinks he's at 100 percent.

Joel Quenneville's group has done it without a single offensive star carrying the load. They've spread it across four lines while Edmonton's depth has gone missing.
