Gavin McKenna delivered a blunt message Sunday after someone online started posing as him and crossing a line.
The projected first-overall talent said a fake Snapchat account has been pretending to be him and doing inappropriate things while using his name. That turned a simple impersonation issue into something a lot more serious.
McKenna said the fake account was listed as g_mckenna27. He also noted that another bogus account had already been banned.
He made it clear which account is actually his. McKenna told fans his real account is gavinmckenna27 and that it is verified.
That was the key point of the post. He wasn't trying to draw more attention to himself. He was trying to stop fans from getting fooled by someone using his identity.
He also asked people not to flood the real account with requests. The post was meant as a warning, not an invitation.

That's the ugly part of being a high-profile prospect in 2026. McKenna hasn't reached the NHL yet, but the spotlight is already big enough to create problems away from the rink.
