The NHL offseason has been a little quieter as of late, but most of the big name unrestricted free agents are off the market. Although, there are a lot of restricted free agents that could definitely tempt teams into giving an offer sheet and change the league immensely.

Here are the top remaining RFAs that could create chaos across the NHL

Elias Pettersson, Vancouver Canucks
Compensation: Four first-round picks, AAV: $10,276,830+

The Canucks have good reason to be scared of their franchise player. The team currently has a little over $14 million in cap space to sign Pettersson, Quinn Hughes, Jason Dickinson, and Olli Juolevi. It would not be surprising to see a team at least try to pull a fast one on Jim Benning and the Canucks.

Andrei Svechnikov, Carolina Hurricanes
Compensation: Two first-round picks, one second-round pick, one third-round pick, AAV: $8,221,464 to $10,276,829

The Hurricanes are always an interesting team to watch considering they are a very cost-conscious franchise. In 2019, the Canadiens issued an offer sheet for Sebastian Aho, and Svechnikov could receive some interest even with the high compensation.

Ilya Sorokin, New York Islanders
Compensation: One first-round pick, one second-round pick, one third-round pick, AAV: $6,166,097 to $8,221,463

Sorokin obviously wants his chance to get a shot as a No. 1 goaltender, but he is in a tough spot with Semyon Varlamov continuing to play at a high-level with a team friendly $5-million salary. He is a high-risk, high-reward candidate if a team does decide to take a chance.

Anthony Beauvillier, New York Islanders
Compensation: One first-round pick, one third-round pick, AAV: $4,110,733 to $6,166,096

Beauvillier is coming off a two-year bridge deal with a salary of $2.1 million, but he has proven that he can be a dangerous top-six forward in this league. Beauvillier is definitely due for a raise, but how much of one is still to be answered. Teams may be tempted to take a shot on the promising forward.

Jesperi Kotkaniemi
Compensation: One first-round pick, one third-round pick, AAV: $4,110,733 to $6,166,096

Kotkaniemi is still figuring out his role in the NHL, and he even sat as a healthy scratch during the playoffs. He definitely has the talent and potential to be a great player in the NHL, and it would not be surprising to have a team put some pressure on the Canadiens by giving him an offer sheet.

Kailer Yamamoto
Compensation: One first-round pick, one third-round pick, AAV: $4,110,733 to $6,166,096

Yamamoto has a ton of potential, but after the Oilers signed Darnell Nurse to a $74 million extension, it may reduce the ability for Edmonton to give him a good contract. He is a top-six winger that could definitely garner some interest from teams short on winger depth.
