The New York Rangers announced on Monday that they've re-signed RFA goaltender Igor Shesterkin to a four-year contract. The team didn't release the financial details of the contract, but according to Frank Seravalli of DailyFaceoff, the deal is worth $22.666 million ($5.65 million AAV).

Seravalli also added that Shesterkin's deal is the biggest in terms of money (AAV and total) to be handed out to a goalie on their second contract.

The Moscow, Russia native appeared in 35 games for the Rangers this season where he had a record of 16-14-3 with a 2.62 G.A.A., a .916 save percentage, and two shutouts.

With Shesterkin now under contract for the 2021-22 season, the Rangers will now shift their focus to defenceman Libor Hajek, who is the only remaining RFA the team has to sign.
