The Ottawa Senators have now traded defenseman Jakob Chychrun to the Washington Capitals in exchange for Nick Jensen and a 3rd round pick.

Jacob Chychrun has been traded from the Ottawa Senators to the Washington Capitals in exchange for Nick Jensen & 3rd round pick '26. I really like Jensen, who is a TOP4 defensive defenseman. But this is a win trade for Washington in my eyes.
Jakob Chychrun was previously acquired from the Arizona Coyotes last season, but there was no talks between the Ottawa Senators and Jakob Chychrun signing an extension.
Getting Nick Jensen and a 3rd for Jakob Chychrun feels... bad for Ottawa.
