The Florida Panthers have lost a star defenseman in Brandon Montour as he has signed a massive 7-year $50-million deal with the Seattle Kraken.
Following Brandon Montour's Stanley Cup win with the Florida Panthers, he has signed a massive $50-million deal with the Seattle Kraken, paying him an annual average value of $7.14 million.

This should be a good fit as the Seattle Kraken look to add some offensive edge into their lineup.
Brandon Montour, signed 7x$7M by SEA, is an offensive defenceman who loves to carry the puck in transition with speed and create scoring chances for himself. Scores a lot and plays on the powerplay.
There is some skepticism however on whether this is an overpay for the offensive defenseman as he heads towards his age curve.
Brandon Montour will sign with the Seattle Kraken to a seven-year deal with an AAV around of $7.1M. Wow. That's a huge deal for Montour.
