Fan favourite Matt Rempe is a healthy scratch for game 3 of the New York Rangers second round 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs series against the Carolina Hurricanes

It's not always a good idea to change things when you're leading a series, but the New York Rangers are doing it anyway. Up 2-0 in their second round 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs series between the Rangers and Carolina Hurricanes, the team has decided to sit Matt Rempe.

While Rempe sitting might be a disappointment for some, others will be pretty excited that Filip Chytil is in the lineup. Chytil's last game in the league was Nov. 2, 2023, and he will be a massive boost.

"🚨 Filip Chytil is playing for #NYR tonight and Matt Rempe is out, per the roster report.

First game for Chytil since November 2nd, also vs Carolina. #CauseChaos"

Chytil will play on the third line, unless changes are made throughout the game.
