Rumours are now swirling on William Nylander's health due to a head injury he suffered in the final game of the regular season. Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe has now commented, and provided an update on the status of the franchise star.

William Nylander, who signed an eight-year, $92-million extension with the Toronto Maple Leafs earlier this season, has been suffering from chronic migraines since suffering a head injury before the playoffs. This isn't the first time he has suffered chronic migraines, and this has led many to be worried that this chronic head injury may end his career.

However, with the Maple Leafs down in their series against the Boston Bruins, his return is more crucial than ever. Sheldon Keefe has provided this update:

The more time, the better," coach Sheldon Keefe told reporters Thursday, as players on both sides were granted a day of rest.

"We've been working with Willy to give him the time that he needs to be ready to play."

We will see where Nylander stands soon. If the Toronto Maple Leafs and Sheldon Keefe don't turn things around quick, there won't be a team for William Nylander to return to.
