6-foot-6 undrafted defenseman to sign NHL contract imminently

This 6-foot-6 undrafted defenseman is looking to make his mark in the NHL, expecting to sign a contract soon to move over from the Czechia league.

With the NHL's playoffs about to begin, not many people are thinking about free agency and contract signing, besides potential young players getting the call after their NCAA seasons are over. However, it appears that Mikulas Hovorka is getting interest from NHL teams, and could sign a contract imminently.

In 51 games this season with the Motor Ceske Budejovice of the premier Czechia League, Hovorka has been able to record 5 goals and 11 assists for 16 points. He sits at a plus 14 rating on the season.

With right-handed defenseman being such an in-demand position this season, it is no doubt that Hovorka will have his opportunity to play in the NHL in the near future.
