Oakland Athletics to relocate to new city before going to Vegas

In the MLB, the Oakland Athletics will relocate to a new city before going to Las Vegas.

It has been confirmed that the Oakland A's will play the two next seasons at the Sutter Health Park, in West Sacramento, leaving Oakland, where they played for the last 57 years.

They plan to build their own stadium in Las Vegas, but it was announced that it wouldn't be ready until 2028.

"The A's are moving to Sacramento from 2025-27, with an option to play there a 4th year, according to an announcement. They're planning to be done in Oakland after this season, their 57th in the city."



The organization released the following statement:

"We look forward to making Sutter Health Park our home through our move to Las Vegas," Fisher said in the statement. "We extend our appreciation to the Kings and the City of West Sacramento for hosting the A's while we work to complete our new ballpark in Las Vegas."
