After placing forward Mark Stone on LTIR, with an injury, GM Kelly McCrimmon went on an absolute shopping spree heading into the trade deadline, by acquiring former Washington Capital Anthony Mantha, Noah Hanifin from the Calgary Flames, and the late deadline day blockbuster involving long time Shark, Tomas Hertl. It's hard to imagine many teams able to beat the Vegas Golden Knights heading into the Stanley Cup Playoffs with a healthy roster. Vegas are showing a real chance at becoming the first NHL team to two peat since the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2020-21.
