Tyler Bertuzzi's fate for tonight's game against the Edmonton Oilers has been confirmed by the Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe.

Earlier this week, Bertuzzi was benched for most of the first period against the Washington Capitals, but it was announced that he was dealing with a sickness.

The head coach confirmed that Bertuzzi's status will be a game-time decision.

Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe reveals Bertuzzi will decide if he plays right before the start of the game.

Sheldon Keefe has stated that Tyler Bertuzzi's participation in tonight's game will depend on how he feels before the game starts.

Tyler Bertuzzi is a game-time decision tonight

Sheldon Keefe: "This will be Bert's call. If he feels he's ready to go, he'll be in. Right now he's not loving how he's feeling"

In his last five games, =Bertuzzi scored five points. Fans are hoping that he can come back at the same level for the final stretch of the regular season.

Even if he had a slow start this season, he showed resilience and came out strongly in recent games. With Marner away with an injury, Bertuzzi has performed very well on the team's top line, with Matthews.

Tonight, the Leafs will need all the help they can get as they face the Edmonton Oilers. Connor McDavid's team will likely try to win the game, as ex-Leaf Zach Hyman could reach the 50-goal mark for the first time of his career, against his former team.

William Nylander doesn't seem sure that his former teammate will achieve that mark tonight!

"He's two from 50, but not tonight."

Make sure to stay tuned for the latest details about the Leafs Vs. Oilers game! Do you think Bertuzzi will be in action?
