If you've ever taken part in a Zoom conference call for work, you can likely relate to this one really well. Jonathan Drouin of the Montreal Canadiens was taking part in a virtual news conference via Zoom Monday when it appeared all of the questions had been asked. As he got up to walk away, TSN's John Lu started asking another. By the time Drouin sat down again, Lu realized he has got up to walk away and told him not to worry about it. After Drouin telling him several times that it was ok and that he had "nowhere to be", and Lu telling him it could way until tomorrow, Drouin got up to walk away again. That's when Lu decided to, once again, start asking his question. Drouin, with a big smile on his face, sat back down. At that point, Lu had realized Drouin had stood up and, once again, stopped his question. Drouin insisted that he proceed. Lu did, and that's when the connection to him was lost before he could get his full question out.
Zoom usually involves a slight delay that can get longer depending on how fast each participants' connection happens to be. Apparently this video conference included a delay long enough to make everything very awkward. You can view the full video below.
