Given Montreal Canadiens forward Josh Anderson's injury history, there was some concern over the severity of the injury he suffered on Thursday against the Winnipeg Jets.

Anderson racked up just over 4 minutes of ice time before taking a nasty slew-foot from Jets defender Dylan DeMelo in the first period that effectively ended his night.

Habs fans can rest easy knowing that Anderson will not be sidelined for long, as Renaud Lavoie is reporting on Saturday evening that the hard-hitting winger is expected to return to the Canadiens' lineup at some point this week.

Anderson has been a pleasant surprise for the Habs this season, after coming over from Columbus in a trade that sent Max Domi to the Blue Jackets. In 19 games for the Canadiens this season, Anderson has tallied 9 goals and 3 assists for 12 points. In true power forward fashion, he has also racked up 56 hits, 18 PIMs and 9 blocked shots over that span.

The Habs have 3 games on the docket this week, taking on the Sens on Tuesday, followed by a pair of matchups against the Jets on Thursday and Saturday. I would imagine that if Anderson draws back into the Habs lineup on Thursday or Saturday, he'll be on the lookout for #2 (DeMelo) to settle the score.
