Last night, Garrett Rank raised some eyebrows when he put a little bit of personality into announcing a no-goal call after a review. Take a look at what he said.




This got a ton of attention online, with some mixed reviews from fans on whether or not a referee should be playing the personality card when doing their job, but mostly positive about the personality in the game.

Former Referee Tim Peel Calls Out Rank For His Call

Not everyone was in favour of the move, though. Former Referee Tim Peel took to his social media to call out Rank for what he did, stating that the NHL probably wouldn't like the move either.
