Despite the Calgary Flames losing Tuesday evening's clash against the Toronto Maple Leafs, none of the focus has been on the Leafs 6-2-0 record or 12 points to sit atop the NHL overall standings, but rather, on the epic troll job performed by Leafs defenseman Jake Muzzin and the total meltdown of Flames winger Matthew Tkachuk following the horn to end the game.

These two teams also met on Sunday, with the Leafs walking away with two points in that affair as well, but it was Tkachuk's "accidental" tumble onto an already ailing Jack Campbell in the Leafs goal that had many viewers tuned in to Tuesday's contest just to see what sort of retribution the Leafs had in store for Calgary's favourite pest.

As it turned out, the Leafs seemed far less concerned about getting even with Tkachuk and more concerned with picking up the two points, which I guess you could say is the ultimate payback. However, following the final horn, Muzzin, who had the puck on his stick, casually turned to Tkachuk - who was down on a knee behind the Leafs net, already feeling the sting of defeat - and flipped the biscuit right onto Tkachuk's lap. Naturally, Tkachuk absolutely snapped.

Following Tkachuk's fiery temper tantrum, Leafs Twitter did what Leafs Twitter does and proceeded to absolutely light Tkachuk up with humorous digs, and the results were absolutely amazing. Take a look at some of the better ones below:

Am I the only one hoping that this rivalry continues past the end of the pandemic, when things go back to normal in the hockey world? I could certainly go for another round of these epic chirps, and I'm willing to bet that I'm not the only one.
