In the third period, there was a severe incident involving a player dangerously colliding with the boards. The played laid motionless on the ice for quite a while.
Matyas Sapovaliv, the Vegas Golden Knights' second-round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, and current player for the Saginaw Spirit, had to exit the game following a dangerous collision that sent in him crashing into the boards.
He was knocked out on the ice for a while, but fortunately, was cleared by the medical staff to travel back home with his team.
