It's the absolute last thing the Detroit Red Wings wanted to hear, but they are going to have to deal with it anyway. Captain Dylan Larkin is going to miss significant time.
A Bombshell on Larkin from Elliotte Friedman
In his latest 32 Thoughts podcast, Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman made it clear Larkin won't be back any time soon after the shot he took from Mathieu Joseph of the Ottawa Senators.
"I have no doubt the Red Wings are angry that they are facing the only extra penalty here in terms of player suspension, like it was their captain who was down, who is injured, I think Larkin is going to miss some time."

Meanwhile, Detroit has just announced that Larkin has been placed on long-term injured reserve retroactive to December 9th, the night of the injury. That means he will miss at least 10 games, and possibly more.
