In breaking news, the Arizona Coyotes have just purchased new land to relocate after their first failed attempt at finding a new arena to call home.
Coyotes Finalize Purchase of Land for Arena Build
Darren Dreger has reported today that the Arizona Coyotes are in the process of finalizing the purchase of a piece of land in Phoenix as their new home. They plan on building their new arena on the land, and will announce the plans next month.
Not sure commissioner Bettman or the Arizona Coyotes will expand on this today. As mentioned last night on @TSNHockey, the Coyotes are finalizing the purchase of a piece of land in Phoenix for an arena build. They're hoping to announce project plans next month.
This comes after the Coyotes failed to build an arena on a previous piece of land after submitting plans to the City and being turned down.
The Coyotes currently play in the Arizona State University's Hockey Arena, which was a decision marked as temporary while they found a new home.
