BREAKING: Brady Tkachuk to be Suspended

The NHL has some confusing rules. Unfortunately for Brady Tkachuk and the Ottawa Senators, these rules will lead to a suspension.

Tkachuk to Be Suspended for Instigating

The NHL rule for instigating in the last five minutes of a game immediately suspends a player for one game.

Per NHL rule 46.21, Brady Tkachuk is set to be suspended for 1 game for receiving an instigator penalty in the last 5 minutes of regulation, while Head Coach DJ Smith would receive a $10,000 fine.

The Senators will challenge this ruling, however, the rule is clear - Tkachuk will be suspended.
