BREAKING: Rasmus Andersson Suspended For Dirty Hit

Rasmus Andersson laid an unnecessary and dangerous hit on Patrik Laine and will now be suspended as a result of the hit.

In the final seconds of last night's game between the Blue Jackets and the Flames, Swedish defenseman Rasmus Andersson laid a scary hit on Patrik Laine which was completely unnecessary.

As a result of this, Andersson got a 5-minute major for elbowing and has now received supplementary discipline from the NHL.

While it is a solid suspension, it is certainly less time than what Laine will miss, which is currently unknown but given how it is a head injury, it will be at least a couple of weeks.
