In breaking news, Connor Bedard decided to break this NHL rule and instead pay the required fine.

Bedard Didn't Wear A Helmet in His First NHL Warmup and Will Be Fined for It

The NHL recently amended its rules to prevent new players from going without their helmets in warmup. The rule came after GMs complained to the League about an increase in injuries due to errant pucks and sticks.

Connor Bedard didn't seem to care about the new rule change and decided to go without a helmet anyway.

Bedard went no bucket in warm-ups of his first game.

He doesn't give a shit about your $2,500 fine Gary 😂

It's almost a right of passage for players entering the NHL to enjoy their first warmup without their helmets, and it appears Bedard didn't care what the rules said. That choice will cost him a couple thousand bucks, but it seemed to be worth it for the future star.
