The Vancouver Canucks have reportedly allowed star forward Conor Garland to seek a trade according to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman.
This move could benefit both sides who are looking for a fresh start after a frustrating experience together.
Garland Looking For A Fresh Start
Conor Garland is entering his 3rd season with the Vancouver Canucks. In his first two seasons, he had 52 and 46 points. This was a major drop-off after his breakout in Arizona of 39 points in 49 games.
Now the 27-year-old is looking for a new opportunity in a new location. The Canucks are also dealing with severe cap space issues where they are currently right at the cap. Moving Garland's $4,950,000 contract could provide some much-needed flexibility.
