On Monday morning, Adidas, and the National Hockey League released their Reverse Retro jersey line that they've been teasing for the last week now.

The Reverse Retro jerseys are essentially just a retro uniform with a modern day twist. In each team's teaser on Twitter, they all used the caption "Details from the past. Remixed for the future." All 31 teams will be wearing one this upcoming season for a handful of games, likely against their rivals.

Some teams such as Colorado and Carolina went well into their past for inspiration behind their new jerseys. For the first time since relocating to Denver, the Avalanche will wear the Nordiques logo, and fleur de lys on their jersey, but in their current colours. While the Hurricanes are going back to the Hartford days for the second time in the last few seasons. They'll be wearing a gray jersey, with the Whalers logo, and colours.

If you were a fan of hockey in the 90s then you'll love some of these designs. The Anaheim Ducks are bringing back the "Wild Wing" jersey, but the main colour this time is white, instead of teal. Arizona is wearing a purple version of their green alternate "Peyote" coyote jersey from the late 90s. Buffalo is wearing a white version of their red alternate with the crossed swords. Calgary will be bringing back their "Blasty" logo, and wearing it on a black jersey again. The New York Rangers have brought back "Lady Liberty" and will be wearing a navy version of it again. San Jose is going to be using a gray version of their late 90s/early 2000s uniforms. While the Capitals have gone with a red jersey, with their "Screaming Eagle" jersey on the front.

Some teams like Montreal and Ottawa simply went and inverted their current colour scheme. Montreal will be wearing a blue jersey, with a red stripe in the middle, and two smaller white stripes on either side of the red. According to a release from the Habs website, the colour of the jersey is inspired by their original 1909 jerseys, that were blue. The design of the jersey comes from the years 1974-2007, during which they won six Stanley Cups. The 76 inside the collar represents the year they won the Stanley Cup, as well as the year they had their best ever NHL season finishing the 1976-77 season with a record of 60 wins, 8 losses, and 12 ties.

Ottawa will be wearing a red version of their new/old uniforms, that they unveiled back in early October.

All 31 jerseys are available for pre-sale currently, and will be available for purchase on December 1st according to Adidas Hockey's Twitter account. Below is a thread from the NHL's Twitter account featuring all 31 Reverse Retro jerseys.
