After signing with the Washington Capitals this offseason, Henrik Lundqvist has revealed his mask that he will wear this season. The King decided to leap fully into the patriotic theme, and the design is one of the coolest in the NHL.

Goalie mask artist David Gunnarsson showcased the photos and a video of Lundqvist's new mask that he will wear as a member of the Washington Capitals.

The mask includes the Capitol building in the front, with a smaller Capitol, Washington Monument, and Lincoln Memorial behind it. Then to top it off, there are eagles residing on both sides of the mask, along with stars and stripes all throughout.

According to Gunnarsson, this was the first mask that did not include lightning bolts that he has made for the veteran netminder.

"It is a design which lives and breathes the city of Washington," Gunnarsson said. "It is a tribute to the fans of the Capitals."

After spending 15 years with the New York Rangers, the 38-year-old will be heading to Washington in hopes of capturing his first Stanley Cup.
