The New York Rangers added an unexpected Goalie on a tryout deal.

Rangers Sign Goalie To PTO

The New York Rangers have signed Goaltender Brad Arvanitis to a Professional Tryout Contract (PTO), the team announced.

Arvanitis, 26, spent last season in the SPHL with the Pensacola Ice Flyers, having a 2.71 GAA and a .919 SV% in 20 Games for Pensacola, as well as getting loaned for 4 ECHL games for 3 clubs.

Arvanitis signed an ECHL contract yesterday with the Maine Mariners, the ECHL affiliate of the Boston Bruins. Prior to going Pro, Arvanitis played Collegiate Hockey for NCAA UMass, before transferring to Div. III Babson College.
