The Philadelphia Flyers have been trying to restructure their roster this summer. The Flyers reportedly tried to trade for two young players from Ottawa according to Elliotte Friedman.

Mathieu Joseph come back (along w/ Pinto) as a salary dump.
The ball is seemingly in OTT's court and PHI has kind of moved on; they "aren't expecting back" , at this moment.

Flyers Need Help At Center Ice Position

Tanner Laczynski, and
Ryan Poehling are the listed center options. With this in mind the Flyers need upgrades.
Pinto would bring youth and potential to a group that is young but has underperformed to this point. The former second round pick has a solid rookie year with 35 points in 82 total games. With more ice time and confidence he could take off.
